Bryce had his 15 minutes of fame this afternoon by being the first child to ever play in a mud puddle in Prospect Park. Bryce was walking around the meadow and was busy waving to us on the blanket when he fell into a mud puddle. He figured (and we agreed) that he was already muddy at the point, so he ought to make the most of the opportunity. The puddle was nice and deep and perfect for pretend fishing. Dozens of people stopped to watch Bryce play and quite a few of those folks were so tickled that they had to take pictures of him! We were sitting a good distance away, so it was even more shocking to see a toddler 'alone' in the park in a mud puddle. There were a handful of folks who were appalled at our parenting... "but he's playing in dirt! IN MUD!!" Jeremy even heard someone say as they passed... "Look, a feral kid in the park!" All in all, Bryce had a fantastic time and I now have the opportunity to test out the power of my stain removers and detergent!

*Sorry for the quality of the photos... I didn't have my camera (can you believe it?) and had to use the camera function on Jeremy's phone.
