Big Baby

Audrey tried out her play mat this morning for about 5 minutes. She began to fuss, so I picked her up. And when I turned around again, I found another "baby" in her place!

Overheard...

No new picture of Bryce, but here are few phrases that you might have overheard him saying if you were around today.

When he is requesting breakfast or a snack... "I have a big appetite!"

Upon opening the closet to get out some of his toys... "Oh, God! This place is a mess."

After he brushed my hair, I asked Bryce how I looked... He replied, "You look wonderful!"

Bryce was playing with his alphabet puzzle this evening and wanted to share his knowledge with Big Meow-Meow. With the apple in his hand, he looked like quite the little teacher!

Music Together After-Party

Bryce has a great time at Music Together each Saturday, but I think he likes the running around and playing after MT even better! Today, he and his friend Eva were chasing and tickling one another.

Clean Up Crane

In an effort to motivate Bryce to clean up his toys (quickly), we sometimes pretend we are different kinds of trucks. Tonight, Bryce was a crane and he put away all of his toys complete with crane sound effects!

Museum Play

Bryce, Audrey, Mimi and I headed for the Children's Museum today. Bryce had a great time with the blocks and water area...and sharing with other kids!

Capt. Supervisor

Bryce is very interested in everything we are doing and usually wants to help...or at least direct. Tonight, while Jeremy was cooking dinner, Bryce climbed up in a chair (in his new "big boy underpants") to watch. His interest in watching extends to other things, like clean-up. Often, now when we ask him to clean up, he tells us, "I watch you do it." or "I resting."

Ride 'Em, Cowboy!

Bryce loves to sing (or have me sing) "See the Pony Galloping" while he gallops like a pony around the house. This morning, he was kind enough to take Big Meow-Meow for a ride, too. Aunt Nikki brought over Audrey's new play mat, but Bryce thinks it is really fun, too. He isn't too keen to have to share it with someone (especially since Audrey isn't old enough to play "car going over big bumps" yet...)!

Birthdays and Blue Suede

Today, we all headed over to our friend Nathan's 3rd Birthday party. Bryce had a great time watching all of the mania, playing with Nathan's trucks and trains, dancing with Mommy and eating a hot dog and cake!So while everyone else was singing and dancing......Bryce was focused on eating his hot dog!Then, Bryce and I sang and danced together to "Blue Suede Shoes"! Okay, I did the singing, but Bryce helped with the dancing...

Jeremy had to hold Bryce back from the cake table!

Keeping an Eye on Baby Sister

Bryce watched Audrey take a bath this evening. He loves his baths so much that I think he was surprised to hear Audrey fuss and cry during her bath time.

Our fantastic friends, Jackie and Julien came by today and took Bryce to the Children's Museum (making it so I had a chance to get some things done around the house). As if that wasn't generous enough, they also brought over dinner and dessert for us! I think Bryce's smile tells it all!

Sidewalk Artist

Bryce, Audrey and I took advantage of the nice afternoon weather and spent some time decorating our stoop. We caught Mimi taking our pictures!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Bryce had a fun-filled St. Patrick's Day! He took a walk to the playground (where he got to watch the Parks workers using a bucket truck to cut down tree limbs.), made his mark on the sidewalk and stairs with chalk, and got to eat chocolate pie for dessert!

Bryce then selected "The Stinky Cheese Man" for his bedtime book. Jeremy had never read it before and was laughing so hard, he was crying! I don't think Bryce understood a word, but thought that his Daddy was pretty amusing...

Taking Care of Baby...

...Bunny, that is! Bryce was being such a good Daddy to his little bunny today. He was holding him the same way that Mommy was holding Audrey. Bunny even had a diaper change!

Hugs and Kisses

I'm not sure there is a sweeter big brother than Bryce! (Oh, and he isn't squeezing Audrey too hard...her cheeks are really that chubby!)

Uncle Michael's Visit

Uncle Michael came over to visit yesterday. Bryce is always so excited for Michael to come and play! They did a lot of drawing together, read several books for bedtime, and then Bryce said, "I love you, Michael!" as he headed off to bed.

Builder Bryce

I helped Bryce start building with his blocks today and he really got into it. I started out building a house at his request, but he quickly turned it into a playground and a lot of the blocks turned into "kids" playing at the playground.

Sticker-mania

In an effort to encourage Bryce's good behavior (and therefore, limit the less than good behavior), I stocked up on a bunch of stickers. Whenever we catch Bryce doing a good job at something, like following directions or cleaning up, etc, he gets to pick a sticker. As you can see, he is very proud of his accomplishments!

Afternoon Events

Bryce looked so peaceful playing on the windowsill after his nap today. I just love his sweet profile!

Later on, we went on our first outing using the new double stroller. Bryce really loves sitting up high and being able to look down at his baby sister!
