Good Book

Bryce loves anything about choo-choos right now. He pulled out the book, "Two Little Trains" and was reading it to himself this afternoon. As he turned each page, he would say "choo-choo"! He also didn't want to go out to the park today because he was having so much fun with his train set!

Rock Sitting and Milking Cows

This weekend, Bryce took care of the rocks in the park. He found this rock that was the perfect seat for him. He played with his animals and trucks and then kept singing "Rock and a Rock..."Today, we went to the zoo. Bryce showed "Mimi" all of his favorite animals and then successfully milked the cow!

Swing Shaking!

Not only does Bryce love to swing up and down (back and forth), he also loves to shake and spin in the swing! Luckily, the swinging does not seem to inspire motion sickness...

Trains!

Bryce loves his train set that Grammy brought up with her. He has been "choo-chooing" all day! Bryce particularly loves the sending the trains back and forth over the bridge!

Shannon Family Reunion

Bryce, Jeremy and I drove out to Delevan, NY for the Shannon Family Reunion this weekend. The drive was not very much fun because of Bryce's severe car-sickness, and bad traffic, and getting lost... Luckily, we had a great time seeing all of the Shannon clan once we got there. We were supposed to have camped out for the weekend, but there was so much rain that we opted for a dry bed inside, instead. Though it did rain for most of our time there, there were a few hours here and there of dry weather to explore the farm in. Bryce loved looking at all of the dogs and horses on the farm, but wasn't interested in petting them. We also even managed a few minutes of swimming in the pool. The grand finale of the evening was Bryce taking on his Daddy in a game of ping-pong!

Hello!

Bryce loves to talk on the phone. He seems to talk more when there isn't anyone on the other line, though. I love all of the facial expressions!

Mulch-y

Bryce loves to play in the mulch piles in the park. He climbs the piles, digs in the mulch, throws the mulch, etc. However, he hates when his hands or feet get dirty! He will play for a little bit, then stand up, show us his hands (or feet) and whine!

An Unusual Race

What an imagination! Bryce had his potty, horse and truck together and somehow it turned into a race across the carpet. The potty won, but then again, the potty also always got to move first...

Looking for Daddy

Jeremy was down in Lynchburg last night and today helping load up my mom's moving truck and then is driving the truck up here this evening. Bryce has been really sad without his Daddy and has made me walk around the house checking for him several times last night and this evening. In this picture, he has grabbed his pacifier and blanket and is waving "bye-bye" to me as he goes off searching. I'm sure all will be forgotten tomorrow when he gets to see his Daddy AND the big truck!

Drinks all over...

For once, the large wet spot on Bryce's shirt was not caused by massive quantities of drool. Instead, Bryce was experimenting with drinking from a cup while walking...

Muscles!

I found a nice shady spot to sit under a tree in the park and Bryce ran all around in the field this morning. There were two dirt patches that he kept going in between. At first, he would push his stroller back and forth, but then, decided that it would just be easier to carry it!
Later, Bryce joined me on the blanket and pointed out all of the airplanes that were flying overhead.

Thirsty?

Bryce found a bucket at the playground. He tried to leave with it several times, but I kept explaining that it belonged in the playground. Finally, he saw several other kids filling cups and buckets at the sprinkler and decided to join them. This is how it turned out...

Night-Night!

Here's Bryce all cuddled into his bed, ready for "lights out"... with bunny, rhino, two dinosaurs and his blanket. It is amazing there is any room for Bryce in his bed!

Bruises and Bubbles

Bryce learned how to blow bubbles this evening! He also learned how to eat the bubble solution... You would think that he would take a little taste and not want more, but...

You can also see the multiple bruises on Bryce's cheek in this photo. He has another huge one on the other side of his face, too. I guess it is because he always on the move...and sometimes faster than he can handle. After the initial tears, Bryce doesn't seem to notice, but it makes my heart ache to see him all banged up!

Heave-ho!

This evening, Bryce, Jeremy and I walked over to the Botanical Gardens and then to the Brooklyn Museum of Art. On the way, we passed the public library and Bryce couldn't resist all of the stairs! He loves walking backwards up the stairs while pulling his stroller behind him (just like Mommy and Daddy do with his stroller)!

Happy 4th of July!

Grandpa Mac came up to celebrate the 4th with us today. He and Bryce ran all around the park and then this evening, we had a yummy picnic. Bryce ate tons of watermelon. He also had corn on the cob for the first time...and loved every bite!

Truck Slide...

Bryce and Nathan met at the playground this evening and each found a truck to play with. They loved taking the trucks down the slide, but also, had to always go down the slide together. Other kids kept trying to go with one or the other, but Bryce and Nathan would just wait until it was the two of them together.

Bubbles!

Bryce loves when we blow bubbles in the park. He doesn't understand how to blow them yet, himself, but is delighted to try to catch them!

First Date?

Bryce loves to drink from the water fountains in the park. Today, he stood for probably 15 minutes at this sprinkler and drank and drank. The rest of him was getting soaked in the process, but he never moved. After a bit, a little girl came over and joined him. I guess he and his "date" were sharing a "fountain drink"!
