...that Bryce is having a baby sister! Jeremy and I went in for an ultrasound today (I'm 15.5 weeks along) and the technician is "pretty sure" the baby is a girl. We'll go back in for another ultrasound in another month or so, and they expect to be able to give a more accurate guess then. I would post a sonogram picture, but I don't have a scanner at home...sorry!
Warning! My computer is going in to the shop either tomorrow or Friday, so the Digest will not be updated until the computer returns!

Chicka-Licka-Boom-Boom!
Bryce loves pretending to ride a horse with Mimi while she sings the song "Chicka-Licka-Boom-Boom". His favorite part is at the end when he "falls" off the horse! He wants to do this over and over again. We finally had to stop him tonight because we could hear all of the milk he had just had sloshing around in his belly!

Last Days at the Beach, A Train and the Zoo!
On our last full day at the beach (I forgot my camera when we went to the ocean), Bryce had fun burying his legs in the sand and digging big holes in the sand that he could sit in. When we came back to the pool, Bryce discovered that he could walk down the steps and then jump and swim to his Grandpa Mac. He loved it and did not even mind that his face went under the water a little, too!

After Bryce's nap, we all went and played a round of miniature golf. Bryce did really well for the first few holes, but then wanted to go explore everywhere else. He also really liked to pick up the balls for us...even if we were not done with our putting! (Forgot my camera for this, too!) It was really hot at the golf course, so we all jumped in the pool again when we got back. Bryce wanted to play with his trucks and play in the pool at the same time... luckily, the trucks floated!

On our last morning, we stopped our frantic packing long enough to take a picture of the 4 generations of McDaniels (and the McDaniel Shannons!)
Bryce's Great Grandma was such a trooper to make the trip to the beach with us after her 94th birthday and we had a very nice time visiting with her!
On Labor Day, Bryce, Jeremy and I caught the train back to NYC. We were lucky that we got on early in the route because it was standing room only by the end!
Today, Bryce and I met up with our friends, Julien and Jackie at the zoo. Julien has finally decided that walking is more fun than crawling and he and Bryce had fun chasing each other around the zoo.
Their favorite part was, of course, milking the cows!
