Chile Pepper Festival

Bryce and Puddy started the morning off right... by sharing blueberry pancakes!
Later in the afternoon, we headed to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens for their Chile Pepper Festival. There was a whole section of the festival dedicated to "hot" chocolate. There were multiple tents of folks giving out chocolate samples. Some of the chocolate was very spicy and others were mild. Bryce LOVED it!

I really should have left the chocolate on his face as we walked around... but even without the mess, Bryce smelled like chocolate for the rest of the day!
The weather had been cloudy all morning and unfortunately decided to let the rain pour down the entire time we were at the festival. Bryce wasn't too bothered by it until he got cold at the end. Until then, Bryce splashed in the puddles and played with the umbrella.

Bryce also got to see a heron (at least that what I think it is) at the Japanese Gardens. We kept hoping the rain would stop so that we could see the heron move around. Alas, the rain continued and the heron stayed dry under its umbrella tree.
