A Day of Play

Bryce got in a full day of play today...even during nap time, when he decided NOT to nap! It was an early bedtime for him tonight as a result.

Nikki and Danny came in for a visit today and brought Bryce a new fancy potty. (We need two with two kids being trained simultaneously.) Bryce was really excited about it and also found a secondary use for part of the potty!

When Jeremy came up and saw Bryce's new potty, he asked Bryce if he had said thank you to Nikki. Bryce said, "Yes, I cried." Tears of joy?!?

Such Focus

Bryce was extremely focused on this book about animals going to sleep. I think he was trying to figure out what they did wrong as part of his research to avoid bedtime!

Let's Look Out the Window...

Bryce's favorite game is to look out the window. He will call you over and say, "What do you see out there?" Never mind that we always see the same things...

The Emperor's New Clothes

It is potty mania here in the Shannon household. Both Bryce and Audrey are being potty trained at the same time. I have found that there are fewer accidents (and I do a lot less laundry) if Bryce goes without clothes around the house. I do have to be careful, though, because he loves to climb up in the window and wave to people. The other day, I caught him bent over in front of the window- mooning all of our neighbors!
I may be considered biased, but I think Bryce has the prettiest eyes!

Serenaded Supper

Bryce finished his dinner before the rest of us this evening and so he serenaded us with his recorder. Unfortunately, he likes to play the same note over and over again unless you remind him that he can try another key. As the performance wore on, he brought instruments to the table, so that we could all play together.

Swinging in the Jungle

In between rain storms, Bryce, Audrey and I headed to the playground. I was so impressed with Bryce's agility and independence. He can swing and climb with the best...and I am able to relax and watch him with less fear of needing to rush to the E.R.!

Jeremy came out to greet us when we got home from the playground. Bryce was happily riding on the stroller and Audrey was crying. Jeremy said, "There are my two kids!" Bryce replied, "Yea, One is happy and one is crying."

Showing Baby the Ropes

Baby "asked" Bryce to help him play with the cars and trucks and Bryce very sweetly agreed. Bryce did find it difficult to play and hold Baby at the same time...kind of like how his mommy feels all throughout the day!
